Come put your hands in the sweet earth!
The Sanctuary is open to volunteers looking to connect with the earth’s bounty through work on the farm. Maintaining a yearly supply of produce is ever more important in these days, when times are uncertain. And working with the earth provides a ready source of comfort and solace through the dirt, seeds, fruits and leaves of labor.
Considering the CDC’s recommendations to limit ourselves to no more than 10 people, we have space for six to join us at the farm, per work day. There are plenty of opportunities to work at a safe distance from one another, while still enjoying the benefits of each other’s company–or of just bonding in nature, as you please.
Work days will be every other Thursday, and every other Saturday, in order to accommodate those for whom a weekend or weekday works better. This begins with this coming Thursday, Mar 26, follows with Saturday, April 4, followed by Thursday the 9th, and so forth.
Each workday will feature different chores, so participants may be asked to bring some tools of their own. In addition, please plan to bring your own sack lunch.
To sign up, please add the names of all who are coming, plus an email address to reach you. More information will be mailed about what to expect for your chosen day.
