Over the years we have enacted this concept through our Druidic Alban Eiler ritual, walking into the light half of the year through the gateway of the merging of the sun and the moon. Things that might not feel so daunting at other times can feel more burdensome. Of course, the winter solstice is when we have reached the darkest part of the year, so our celebrations revolve around the return of the ...

It was a windy chilly Beltaine celebration, but lots of fun too! Because of the wind, we did have to keep the fires small, yet walking between the fires felt great as we entered the season of light, warmth, and growth together in community.   The Circle   Opening Prayer   Calling Peace to the Quarters   Blessing with Water   Lighting the fires   Fires are lit ...

Spring is in the air as the sanctuary prepares for the sun to rise. I also love how the veins of the stones in the circle are somehow glowing in the dim light.   https://youtube.com/shorts/zF9Bx1as3Ac   Blessed Be, Jean

Season of Imbolc

By |2026-04-01T02:03:24-04:00February 24th, 2021|Birds, Musings|

Last week this bird's nest was full of snow. This week the snow is melting fast. And a couple of days ago when I stepped out onto the back patio, I saw the biggest fattest robin I have ever seen. Imbolc gives us the promise of springtime as the light continues to grow.   bird's nest with a large mound of snow in it - photo by Brennah Cavanaugh   Blessings from the Sanctuary, Jean Phot
