Join the Community

We would like to invite you to be a contributing member of our community in whatever way feels right to you. There is a role for you, no matter your skills or interests.

Here are some possibilities to illustrate this idea:

Maybe you like to write – you could come to events and write about it to share with the world. Maybe you like a particular aspect of what we’re doing, or a bio-region. You could adopt an area, such as a flower or vegetable bed to tend to and keep up. Or perhaps you would like to help with the upkeep and maintenance of the pond. Or maybe you like animals and would like to help care for the chickens or take our cats for walks (yes, that’s for real!), or maybe take care of the fish in the pond or the honeybees. (If we have lots of help, we may even be able to add more animals.)

Or maybe you like the idea of the food forest and being able to harvest fresh fruit, nuts, berries, and herbs for your family, and would like to focus your attention there. Or perhaps you would like to be a part of all-season growing in the hoop house. Perhaps you simply want to connect with nature and would like to help with the maintenance of the pathways or building the cabin and other structures. Maybe you would like to make or donate a bench to set along a pathway.

Maybe you are far away and love what we are doing and would like to support us on Patreon where you can get regular updates about the Sanctuary. Perhaps you especially appreciate a particular aspect or bio-region and would like to make a donation in honor of the wetlands area (for example), or the pure air above us and the healthy soils beneath us, or the memorial garden, the bridges, or any other attribute.

Maybe you enjoy bonfires and would like to help with chopping and carrying wood from the forest for the fires. Maybe you would like to build a tree house hide away in the woods for children and young-at-heart adults.

Perhaps you enjoy events and wish to help with set-up and organizing, or maybe you would like to run our social media accounts. Perhaps you are a musician or performer and would like to contribute your talents to some of our events.

Perhaps you have very specific skills to share, such as knowing how to prune fruit trees, or how to sharpen tools, or fix a broken outlet. Maybe you know what to do about the pump to our shallow well (for watering the gardens) that keeps breaking.

So… how would you like to get involved to make CHFS a success?

And for anyone making prayers, doing magic, and sending good energy – all is appreciated.
