Have you been wondering how you might go about creating your own gatherings or events at the Sanctuary?
Here are a few guidelines that might be helpful:
*All events must be approved and fit the mission of Crossing Hedgerows Sanctuary.
- If you are a member and are planning a free event exclusively for the members of the Sanctuary, you may use the space at no cost to provide a service to our community. Simply submit your idea for approval, and to reserve a date and time. We will then be happy to put the word out to the community.
- If you would like to plan a private event for your group, please see the rental rates below. Members will receive a discount for rental.
- If you are creating a workshop or event that is open to the public and you are charging a fee, we will be happy to help you promote your event. Along with the standard rental fee, we request that you work out a way to share some of the proceeds with the Sanctuary. This may be to charge an extra $5 (or other amount) for each non-member attending, to donate to the Sanctuary.
For a 4 hour time block:
$100 – Use of fire circle, composting outhouse, and Sanctuary land
$10 extra for use of chopped wood for a fire
Each supporter at the Basic membership level of our Patreon page will also receive a $10 discount towards group rental.
At the present time the Sanctuary cannot accommodate groups larger than 50.
Rules:
- Please leave everything in the condition in which it was found. Clean up after yourself. No littering.
- As a botanical nature sanctuary, we ask that you stay on trails except for designated gathering areas.
- Be mindful and careful of all our tree, plant, and animal friends. Step lightly. Don’t pick anything (mushrooms, flowers, fruit, etc) without prior permission. Please be respectful with fallen logs/branches as these are also good habitat and homes for many different creatures.
- Any offerings to the land are welcomed, but must be compostable and nothing that would be a danger to wildlife.
- Likewise, please burn only wood, paper, or all natural materials at the campfire.
- We ask that you stay within the boundaries of the Sanctuary at all times. Adjacent land is private property.
- All visitors must sign a “hold harmless” liability waiver.
